The Community Media Access Center at El Molino High School in Forestville is a PEG (Public, Educational and Government) media center which exists because cable operators are mandated by law to provide services, facilities and equipment as partial compensation to communities for their use of public rights-of-way (streets, highways, parks and other government owned property).

This compensation provides media production facilities, equipment and services at the Community Media Access Center to:

Community groups, such as the Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary Clubs, the League of Women Voters, NAACP, AARP, local Chambers of Commerce, religious institutions, community theaters, labor unions, veterans groups, second language communities, and the disabled.

Educational agencies, such as public schools, charter schools, colleges and universities.

Government agencies, including the employees of the County of Sonoma, fire and police departments.
